Arts for Grabs - sunday 19th september

Yeay! i made it to my first visit to the AFG market :))

Had trouble looking for the actual venue coz the last time i really really jalan-jalan in Central Market was when my eldest daughter aisyah still in diapers!

After climbing several flight of stairs with my family toting not far behind, i found our   "mission".

I was expecting a bigger and busier market but nevertheless it was not a disappointment at all! So glad made the decision to go and get to meet several other crafters and guess what? met my highschool classmate whom i have not met for more than 20 years!

She is ZarinaZA and she makes quilts and handdyed threads. You can find her blog here,

The first booth we stopped was TEAM ETSY MALAYSIA and there i met with Alex of Skyejuice, Jenny of JPbeads and Huey of nottypooch who is also the team leader for Team Etsy Malaysia.

At the booth i found some lovely stuff !

scrapbook paper cards from skyjuice

simple but elegant earrings by JPbeads

After talking, browsing and buying .....i saw this! and fell in love with it...

i collect all kinds of teapots and this is definitely my cuppa of tea! :))
i found this at AKOE's booth.
Met lovely ms. Akoe herself and so warm and friendly. nice to meet you!

Then continue with our walkabout and lend some "signing" support o a human rights group.
OH ya! forgot to mention that we also took pictures! In support of STOP AIDS group. Each one of us...ya...hubby, kids and myself held cards to encourage people to practice safe sex and all and this STOP AIDS group is targeting to take about 13,000 pics which they hope to print out and get themselves into Malaysia Book of Records.

Just as we were about to end our walkabout around AFG, i spotted this!

RABUN, by the late arwah Yasmin Ahmad
i have been looking for this DVD for so long and i have to say, this is the best of all her productions.

AFG is definitely a wonderful place to go to find the unexpected!
long lost friend, miniature teapot and almost extinct DVD.
It was a very good and fruitful day :)
